“What is love made of?” This is the central question of this production. Set within a clinical drug trial, two characters fall in love, leaving us to wonder: is this a genuine human connection, or merely the side effect of a chemical reaction? The play suggests that while our personal histories define who we are, the accidental events of the present act as a trigger for the future.

My design followed this narrative through the lens of chemical reactions. Drawing from my own sensory experiences of how chemistry manifests in the body, I sought to visualize these internal biological shifts on the stage. I used light to translate the invisible—the pulses, the triggers, and the tension between characters. I want the answer for this question through this visual flow will be found in audiences’ mind.
