In the wake of the historical trauma of the Vietnam War, Away follows three families as they encounter death, acceptance, and the necessity of moving forward. Each family carries the weight of a painful past while navigating the uncertainty of the present and the future.

I approached this production through the perspective of remnants. To realize this point of view, I worked to create distinct lighting structures for each family, embedding them within a shared environmental background. By blending art-historical influences with the scenic design, I aimed to weave the variety of the play's events into a vivid, living tapestry on stage.
